Transparent Highlights Correction

When you have transparent highlights with a symbol, the symbol looks somewhat transparent, and not well defined. Can it be made less transparent? Also, maybe putting a small outline would make the image look more like it should (I cant think of the word!).

Dont know where this should go, so I put it in Ideas Forum. Please move it if it goes somewhere else.
