Why did they do that? I used to be able to change trade routes (add, remove from THIS village) - now no?! Because it's not convenient for ME!

We won't return to the way it was. Developers are still working on the feature. You're free to provide feedback but "return to the way it was" is not going to happen.

//Edit: it was not a bug but a configuration issue on my end. I resolved it.

There are still complaints :
1. It is not possible to cancel trade routes from the village itself, as it was previously possible to do from the village overview
2. Unable to cancel the hiring of troops!
I understand that it's unlikely to return the way it was, but if something is to be improved, it should be done competently, rather than shoving raw development into regular worlds.
Essentially, the developers removed the AM management page from a particular village and tried to squeeze the stripped-down features into a widget. Nothing good came of this, half the features are now unavailable.
