Upcoming Beta resets: zz1 & zz2

Dear players,

Please be aware that we will be resetting both beta worlds, zz1 & zz2, in the near future. Please take this into account when spending premium points or planning your next moves. Active premium services during the closure of the world will be refunded automatically.
Please find the schedule of these resets below:

Closure of ZZ2 (Sandbox): Friday, January 17th during the day
Restart of ZZ2 (Sandbox): Monday, January 20th at 10 AM UK

Closure of ZZ1 (Standard): Thursday, January 23rd during the day
Restart of ZZ1 (Standard): Tuesday, January 28th at 10 AM UK

This reset will be needed in order to implement a new game feature and test it properly. More information about the settings of these worlds, and the new feature, will be provided closer to the reopening. Winners of the current worlds will be announced on the date of closure.

We are looking forward to see you on these new worlds! You can freely discuss these resets in the feedbacktopic.

Night Bonus: 00:00 - 08:00
Tribe Level: Active
Stronghold: Active
Bonus Villages: Active

Please note that all players will start this world with higher points and 2 villages.

Dear players,

we’re happy to announce another upcoming feature.

Most of you know that almost all of our local markets are equipped with a Night Bonus. This basically strengthens all your defense values in every village significantly for 8 hours at night, at a given time depending on the market’s timezones. Due to the Night Bonus, players can head off to bed safe and sound, knowing that their empire is at least somewhat protected against sudden attacks and power shifts within the world.

General Information

- The general idea is that every player on the server can set their own Night Bonus time frame. You will be able to decide between multiple time frame setups, to select the one that’s suiting your nightly needs. With an active Night Bonus, all defending troops will be boosted by 100%. This does not affect Scouts or barbarian villages.
- All players will be able to select their preferred time frame on the Game Options screen
- If a player is in beginner protection, the activation will be set immediately after they select a time frame
- If a player is not in beginner protection, the activation will be set only after 14 days in order to guarantee fairness.

You will only be able to change your time frame once at a time. It will not be possible to change the time frame while a chosen activation is still pending to be set. It is also not possible to have two different time frames within 24 hours, so be sure to choose the time frame best suiting your day.

The available choices for Night Time will be (in server time)

- 00:00 to 08:00
- 08:00 to 16:00
- 16:00 to 00:00

The first setting (00:00 – 08:00) will be the default setting if a player didn’t set a Night Mode yet, to make sure every player at least has one active defense bonus. A player who didn’t set their Night Mode yet will also see a reminder on their overview screen.
If a player is being attacked while he’s in Night Mode, the attacker will see this information on his attack screen. You will also be able to check another player’s profile for their set Night Mode time, to make sure you won’t be blindly sending your attacks into danger.

Beta & Rollout

On Beta, it will run for a while (at least 2 weeks) so everyone should have plenty of time for feedback. If you guys like the feature and everything’s going well, Night Mode will eventually come to new worlds on EN by next year! We hope you enjoy testing this cool feature for yourself, and we’re anxiously awaiting your feedback!
