Rejected: several languages

Hello, I have an idea for those who speak English poorly.

We need a translation button at the bottom of the page with languages that are requested by members.

A button Google Traduction for exemple.

Yeah this would be a good idea. I do believe that is a pain to code though. I am not a coder so I wouldn't know though

I like the idea. But only if ingame-text/options are translated.

It is simple to "translate" page as the translationserver (there is one for each community if I am not mistaken) is called upon when requesting a page.
Settings -> Other language (dropdown menu, choose language) -> Click OK

Voila! Page is refreshed and everything is written with chosen language.

Was it like this you imagined?

The English of the automatic translators is very bad, as well as my French ;)

So our beta is for people who speaks English in a assumable way. I know my English isn't the best, and I'm not a native, but i guess everyone got what i want to say.

Google translate can only translate words. Sentences=FAIL.

I think this idea shouldn't pass, just because of a reason there are already many many nations TW's already existing. And the meaning of .net (universal) would loss the meaning, if we will now translate everything in our own languages.
Want your language? Play at your TW. That's why they are created.

So exclude other people from participate because problems with language?
Perhaps even exclude muslims or other religions to play because it is only a church as religious building in TW and there was alot of other religious buildings during this so called medieval-timeline that TW is based upon?

Get a grip ffs!

A setting-option for switching language is like the scripts that checks server-language to make the script work.

All hail .net - they are so good players and mostly americans?!

i think it is important, because so it can be a multilingual game where the peoples that speak english very bad (like me) can be too...

i hope that you understood me...^^

@Bertil: Who are you reffering to?

@Phisa: If you play game and if you join Forums, I say: You don't have problems with understanding English. If it's not perfect - than it's atleast good enough to play.

This beta server was started to find bugs etc. and to help the developers of scripts to adapt there scripts easily to the new versions. So, this beta server was not created for real playing, what means that there is no need for a multi-lingual support inside the game also.

This idea has been brought up internally quite a few times. As far as I'm aware there are quite a few technical issues that would make this feature extremely hard, if not impossible to implement.

I was mainly reffering to people that post that there is language-based communities for playing TW and that those players not so fluent in English should stay at those.
That is what I call racism/nazism and I where InnoGames stand in that question.

This thread is named Ideas, can be used for implementing new things in the version we are testing if all goes well, as we hope for.
Something for developers to think of, maybe even test it before new version comes out.

Langauge/nation-chosen Premium-page is displayed - so displaying entire game with a specific language is doable and rather easy.
It also makes layout-bugs, in other languages then English, appear BEFORE actual release.

This was announced as a "Non specifik language beta version" of Die-Staemme.

Racism is discriminating based on someone's race. Language has absolutely nothing to do with race. Nazism I'm sure I don't have to explain. Both of these are extremely serious accusations and should not be thrown around lightly.

Bertil really I think you are a little confused.
This is not a server where you can actually play. You should expect 3, 4 restarts every week (btw this game will last more than 6 hours with no restart) Is a test server. Honestly I agree the english version of testing. The german language is beautiful but not for me. :D
Beside, finding bugs in german language was a little difficult.

enough talking. more game and less spam.

"Speak wrong language? Get da fawk out da here!" - See where I am drifting and pointing at how it can be interpret?
I know how important it is for InnoGames not to associated with either of those things I brought up. Trust me, I have read the mails to staff.

As a former member of AFA (AntiFascistAction) I can spot tendences towards racism/nazism/facism rather easy, maybe to easy.
As I also have friends that was/are members of NSF (NationalSocialisticFrontier? in english), VAM (White Arian Power in english) and similar organisation I know the language and the thinking.

.net is for those that are good (and fluent) in English - rest - go to your own country(!) and play there.

Perhaps the not so fluent in english want to play on other servers? Meet some competition? Meet other players?
Norwegian players and french players was massacred when they started on .se awhile back - due to same racial/nazi-thinking that have been shown here.

"They were not good in Swedish - then DIE! Get lost! Get out! Death to the ones not speaking good swedish! We do NOT want them on server! This is OUR server..."

Similar events may have taken place on other servers.
And .net have a rule about excluding written languages in the game (tribes cant make language specific tribes, only allowing ONE language to be used), I think you are aware of that Morthy.

You can interpret it however you like, but the fact remains that what you are describing is neither racism or Nazism.
