Beta is for testing purposes.
zz1 is restarted every now and then and is an 'active play' world
zz2 is not restarting anytime soon, I don't even believe there are plans for restarting it, it is meant purely for testing purposes and for scripters and such to have the chance to update their scripts before the next update.
