Feedback Beta 4 (Relics)

@Oski do I understand correctly that you will only get a relic from another player when you noble the village that has the relic in it?
If so wouldn't that player just remove the relic just before we noble it.
I know there is a 24h cooldown on that but I don't think there will be many cases where relics have just been placed, this is something you build your cluster around.

I think it is also a way players can abuse it to boost accounts to feed good relics to one account.

I would probably prefer if every village that you noble just gives a random relic even if it doesn't have a relic equiped.

For the rest it does look nice, I was wondering what is the max range a relic can get to?

Hi @Event Master,

It doesn't seem like that is the only option: "You can acquire relics by choosing your starter relic, by conquering barbarian villages or by conquering player villages which have a relic equipped. You can scout villages to help you determine which relic you want to pursue next.".

Well conquering barbarian villages I don't count as a valid option, I agree that it is good that you also get a relic from it, but normal players don't really noble them in a ideal situation. I know sometimes you get forced to when you lose your offensive troops or when you spend so much money that you have to many nobles to use only on players.
But in my opinion you shouldn't be forced into nobeling barbs to get your relics that would set a pretty bad precedent.

So yeah its good that you also get them from barbs but you should get them from another sources as well.
It can also be like with flags that you can get them from defeating troops completing achievements making nobles, ect.
But I see a issue with the current way you can get them.

I still think there should be more ways to get the relics, but I think a good thing could be to make it so that if your relic gets scouted it can't be removed for 24 hours.
That way you ad some more strategy to the relic battles and give attackers a change to actually steal some from others.

I want to be critical: the players are lazy creatures for the most part.
In the tribal war, we were used to the simplicity and monotonous repetition of gameplay, and for the most part we were quite satisfied with all this.
I do not know who came up with this crazy idea of relics and I do not consider them a positive addition to the gameplay.
On the contrary, we expect a new and intensified turn in the use of multi accounts and bots!:cool:
Why don't the developers do the normal thing - develop protection against bots, and not come up with all sorts of nonsense that complicates the gameplay!!

It is actually quite the opposite, most players hate the monotonous actions thats is actually also the reason why there are people that use bot, although I think you are hugely exaggerating the issue of bot use, it almost doesn't happen on the server I play at least.

This is right up the alley of the players of tribalwars adding more strategy choices, giving you the option to min/max your account.
I think the main fear is that most new features have pay to win elements to them and that is something we hate.

As with any new feature, relics in Tribal Wars raise many questions. In my opinion, this system currently has both advantages and drawbacks. You can obtain relics by conquering barbarian villages or villages owned by other players where relics are already equipped. Scouting allows you to see which relic is present in the village, but there’s an important caveat — the player can remove the relic up to 24 hours before the village is captured. In that case, you end up with nothing, even if your scout report showed a relic. This means you risk investing a lot of resources and troops into an attack, only to receive an empty village instead of the desired trophy. To upgrade relics, you need multiple relics of the same level, which must be combined either by type or by quality. This forces players to aggressively conquer more villages, because without a steady supply of relics, you won’t be able to improve them. As a result, the game becomes less about fighting enemies and more about who can collect the most relics. Things become especially problematic with barbarian villages. After capturing one, you cannot get rid of it without violating the rules, for example, by feeding it to a tribe member or a multi-account to free up your noble slot for the next barbarian conquest. So even if the village is of no strategic value, you still have to develop it, defend it, and maintain control over it. That means even more resources and time spent — all for a relic you may have needed only once. From the attacker’s perspective, seeing a relic in a village doesn’t guarantee anything. It can be removed before your nobles arrive, and you have no way of knowing that in advance. Yet relics are valuable trophies. So how do you determine whether the cost of the attack is even worth it if the end result might be nothing? From the defender’s side, there are issues too. I wouldn’t want my enemy to know exactly when the relic in my village will expire — that gives attackers a clear tactical advantage. In summary, in my humble opinion, the relic system currently feels overloaded and lacking in transparency. The concept is interesting, but in its current form it leads to dead ends: unpredictable outcomes when attacking, no way to get rid of unwanted villages, and a constant race for quantity just to make progress. I sincerely hope the developers will listen to the community and improve the relic mechanics so they truly enhance strategic gameplay — rather than turn into routine grind and a struggle against the system itself.

I was also wondering how the scouting is suppose to go because atm when I have scouts by my farms I don't spot the relic?
It does specifically mention that you should scout the relics to find the ones you want to grab?

There is a bug with a same relic if you unequip it and equip it again (without reroll etc), in achievment it counts like 2 different relics and you get an achievment. Ive already send a ticket, infrom also here

I don't consider this a bug. There's no indication anywhere that different relics must be used. You performed two actions, and received a bonus in achievements for that.It will be interesting to see what the developers say

Additional Feedback on Relics – Usability and Tracking

I'd like to continue sharing my observations regarding the relic system.

Since players are expected to own multiple relics and many villages, I believe it’s essential to introduce a more convenient management panel that would allow us to:

  • clearly see which relics are equipped and where;
  • manage equipping and unequipping easily;
  • monitor relic effects across villages in a structured way.
In addition, I think the game is missing a proper relic history log. It would be extremely helpful to have a section where I could track which relics I’ve used, when, and in which villages. Currently, this information is not available, and with a large number of relics and villages, keeping track manually becomes very difficult.

Another issue is related to notifications. When I lose or capture a relic, the system sends a separate report, rather than including it in the battle report. This is inconvenient, especially because such reports may be automatically deleted (if you don’t have Premium), or simply missed among other notifications.

I believe that relic-related events should:

  • either be included directly in the combat report;
  • or be listed in a dedicated relics tab;
  • or be logged in a relic journal (if such a feature is added in the future).
I hope these suggestions will be taken into consideration, as quality-of-life improvements like this could make managing relics much more user-friendly and enjoyable.

It is probably, cause its says Attach 2 Relics, i only used one, it was not re-roll. So they need to change it, becasue of this bug you can take an advantage to get easy ahievment without do notihing. Probably it should to be fixed like an Philanthropist or be swaped to an achievment like a Band of Brothers. THe game had already the achievment about discovering unique relics, so its better to be fixed it with 2 options which i said before

This is not a bug — it's how the achievement is designed. The achievement says "Attach 2 relics", but it doesn't specify that the relics have to be different. So if you unequip and reattach the same relic, it still counts as two separate "attach" actions — which is exactly what the description says. If the intention was to only count unique relics, then the wording should be updated to something like "Attach 2 different relics." As it stands, it's working as written, and players are just using the system as allowed. Not a bug — just possibly unclear design.

https://c2n.me/4mMaFWM - No intelligence is needed!! the report itself gives out what is in my village :eek::D

it's not a mistake)) this is a feature, and it's not necessary for the admins to know about it! :D:D:D

You shouldn't be trying, the local administrator doesn't read the forum.

I said what I wanted to say - most players like the tribal war the way it is!! If something doesn't suit you or you're bored, play other games!!
With the advent of relics, this game is no longer a tribal war! "and this is a war of relics!"!
I can only hope that this is an installation feature! And the relics won't haunt players all over the worlds!

I personally think the relics are gonna be a good addition to the game.

In any case, according to the game settings files, it seems that this will be an option that can be turned on and off, like churches, watchtowers, etc.
