Hello All!

As some of you may have noticed, World 1 was updated to a new version a few weeks ago. Now with the Sandbox also updated, we are happy to present:

The Version 8.2 Changelog!

As updates go, most of this one consists of the fixing of bugs that have arisen in 8.0, with some new features and a couple of improvements. So without further ado, I shall leave you to peruse the changes below:

New Features

  • External Village Link: There will now be an external link (to TWStats on most versions) on every village page.

We received a number of requests to put in an "External" link for villages, like there is on Player and Tribe pages, so that users are linked directly to the history of the village. This should now be in effect. For those of you unfamiliar with the external village pages, they include all the standard information that you can see ingame - points, coordinates, owner - but also list the previous owners of the village, who it has been conquered by in the past and when, and also a list of the most recent points changes for the village.

  • Multi-Village Startup: It will now be possible to start worlds with two villages.

There isn't much to say about this that isn't obvious from the title! Community Managers will now have the option of starting every user with two villages. the Default will still be one, but we look forward to seeing how this new setting might pan out on coming worlds! Because this feature is new and potentially game changing, it will need to be tested rigorously before it is widely used.

  • Name Changes: It will now be possible to change your username in exchange for premium.

Again, this is exactly what it says on the tin ;) Users can now apply to have their username changed in exchange from premium. The cost, permitted frequency of name changes and preservation time of old nicknames (so that users can choose to revert if they want without losing their original name if they do it within x months of their original name change) are currently being decided and will be made available with the service itself.

Improvements

The majority of improvements in this update are to do with the War Stats, with only one other improvement. All on its own :(

  • Quests (Mobile Version): Viewing and completing quests is now possible on the mobile version.

War Stats

  • Date on Graphs: The date at any particular point is now shown on the graphs by hovering over the desired point, together with the value at that point.
  • War Rankings: A "Tribe" column has now been added to the player rankings in wars, and tribemates are now highlighted like on the normal rankings.
  • Filter Reset: A Button has now been added to reset all filters on the stats.
  • Browsing Wars: Arrows (<< >>) have been added to allow players to easily cycle between wars.

Bugs

A number of bugs have been fixed in this version. We're working all the time to get as many bugs fixed as possible, but we know there are more out there, so keep sending them in and we'll sort them out!

  • Reports: Reports will now remain in the correct order when scrolling back and forth (there used to be some issues with reordering reports).
  • War Stats: joining a war now sets the diplomacy of the tribe to enemies automatically.
  • Rally Point: The bug where the entered coordinates sometimes disappeared if there was an error before switching village has been fixed.
  • PA - Report Filter: The Report filter now correctly resets to the default if the Premium Account expires while a filter is active.
  • Mass Recruitment: The bug where the mass recruit feature sometimes recruits more than the stated amount has now been fixed.
  • Personal Notes: BB-Codes are now enabled in notes.
  • Forwarding Reports: The name-doubling bug which occurred with some list choices has now been fixed.
  • Time Reduction Exploit: The bug with the built time reduction system (which allowed the time to be reduced beyond the standard reduction through task cancellation) has now been fixed.
  • Peacetime Awards: The bug where it was possible to get "X of the day" awards on days were peace is active by attacking just before the peace goes into effect has now been fixed.
  • War Declarations: The bug where tribes were sometimes unable to declare war on each other has now been fixed.
  • Paladin: A minor bug regarding paladin placement has now been fixed.
  • Referrals: Referring players should now receive the correct amount of premium when the players they invited pass the set amount of points (default: 500 points)
  • Account Manager: Misleading Trade Route Error messages have now been removed.
